The principle of our design, is to reveal the aesthetic values of the time layers in this physical space, to preserve different layers of sensations as part of the records of ordinary people, in their work, in their life. Three principles have been set up : 1. Regard the granaries as the "main body" of the complex, highlighting their qualities : the simple, high-quality functional design of the original granaries can be seen as a symbol of the good side of the planned economy. 2. Preserve as much as possible the “traces scars” brought by different enterprises in the post-granary era : these are local damages comparing to the "main body" of the granaries. Preserve these traces of time layers and let them be identifiable, also valuable in a sense. 3. The new buildings, structures or building components should respect with great subtlety the "main body" and the "traces-scars" of the granaries, so as to create a dialogue and echo with them. 粮仓的五个库房是围绕两个大院子建设的，院子用于临时堆放粮食和晒粮，对于粮仓十分重要。为保留粮仓的建筑格局，我们将新建展厅和驻场工作室均设计在围墙以外的临河空地，在粮仓围墙以内，仅新建了一个游客餐厅的厨房和一座双曲线桥。 粮仓西侧、北侧的围墙就成为了这两组建筑的起点：对于驻场工作室，可以看作是北侧围墙的向外延伸与围合；而西侧围墙变形为楔形的“厚墙”，其内部是新展厅的服务空间（卫生间、保洁间和设备间）。西侧与北侧的围墙已成为新建筑的外墙，按照新建筑的需求被重新建设，但其依旧在原来的位置，使得西侧、北侧的楔形夹道空间被保留并连接了新老建筑。 https://luplusarchitects.com/1-3 Fri, 粮仓与展厅在对“空”的需求的本质上是相同的，粮仓装载粮食，展厅等候展品，只是粮仓缺少今日展厅所需的各种设备（照明、消防、安防、网络、电信、空调等）。 “在粮仓里展览”，意味着置入大量新设备，所以如何以较小的方式置入这些设备，而不会将粮仓内部的空间气质淹没？ 1.综合布线管架：用以阻挡堆粮侧推力的墙面也是展览需要的，因此综合布线管架在高侧窗之上设置，所有的管线均集约于这 个管架内，设备则固定在管架上；墙角处竖向的管架用来与埋在室外地面下的管线接合；管架外侧的白色水泥板面板在诉说管架想融入这个空间之中。 2.依附在粮仓原结构上的射灯导轨：在有着清晰的力流传递的粮仓原结构面前，射灯导轨表示臣服，因此对于不同的屋面结构，导轨也在变换着安装位置以及射灯的投光方式。 3.吊线灯：由于原结构的限制，要想达到展览布展的灵活性需求，有些位置需要在依附于原结构的导轨之外，增加额外的投光点位，在这些位置增加导轨是非常简单的，但是却会破坏原有结构的韵律。为此我们与灯具厂家一起开发设计了一款“吊线灯”，来补足这些位置的投光需求。吊线灯的灵感来源于粮仓里悬挂着的电灯泡，灵活而实用。从附近的导轨取电，吊线灯通过吊钩可悬挂在任意位置，并且可停留在任意高度，多余的电线和吊线可收纳于灯具的线筒内。
